The Candidate

My name is Lori Ruh, and I am running for the Arrowhead Lake Board of Directors.

My husband, Fred, and I have proudly owned our home in Arrowhead Lake since 2018, and we are now full-time residents of the community. Over the years, Arrowhead Lake has become much more than just where we live. It has truly become home.

Family is at the center of everything we do. Fred and I are proud parents of four daughters, and our experiences as a family have reinforced the importance of communication, advocacy, and strong communities that support one another.

Like many residents, I care deeply about preserving what makes this community special while also helping ensure it remains financially strong, well managed, and thoughtfully prepared for the future. If elected, my priorities will be to:

• Promote transparency and open communication so homeowners feel informed and engaged.

• Support responsible financial oversight and thoughtful planning to ensure community resources are managed effectively.

• Encourage long-term investment in our roads, amenities, and recreational spaces while preserving the traditions that make Arrowhead Lake special.

Professionally, I serve as Vice President of Operational Risk and Special Projects for a holdings company supporting the financial services industry. My experience includes vendor management, client service, technology implementation, regulatory compliance, and organizational operations. Throughout my career, I have focused on improving communication, building efficient processes, strengthening accountability, and supporting long-term strategic planning.

Within Arrowhead Lake, I currently serve on the Recreation Committee and have truly enjoyed becoming more involved in the community and getting to know many of the residents and families who make this place so special.

As our community continues to grow and evolve, I believe homeowners should feel informed, heard, and confident that community priorities are being managed efficiently and responsibly. I strongly support thoughtful planning, improved communication, modernization efforts, and responsible stewardship of community resources.

Given the recent departure of many long-time, valued employees, I believe this is an important time for new board leadership and fresh perspectives to help preserve and strengthen the community we deeply cherish.

High employee turnover, coupled with significant fines imposed by the IRS and the Department of Labor, raises serious questions about the effectiveness of the Board’s oversight and governance. These outcomes suggest a need for directors with substantial executive leadership, regulatory compliance, financial management, and organizational oversight experience. While the current directors have generously dedicated their time to serving the community, the challenges we face today require a level of executive, financial, and organizational expertise that has not been well represented on the Board for several years.

Arrowhead Lake is a community that my family and I care about deeply. I am committed to bringing a fresh perspective, greater accountability, and the leadership experience necessary to help restore confidence, strengthen governance, and ensure that decisions are made with the long-term interests of residents in mind.
